Overview
Aero Electronics was established by the selection of recognized professionals in the cable assembly industry with relationships across a wide customer base. This group has worked together for nearly two decades allowing the company to function as a mature, cohesive and experienced unit. The team embraces change and improvement providing a flexible environment, practiced at agile adaptation.
Core competencies include build to print of a variety of cables such as RF flexible and semi-rigid cables, Round cables, Branched Harnesses, Molded assemblies including Vulcanized Rubber moldings. Electro - mechanical assemblies of low complexity are within current capabilities.
Our staff has experience in other disciplines including machining, metal work, electronics assembly, system & sub-system design and advanced testing including physical, environmental, electrical & RF.
In terms of support Aero Electronics has been successful in providing assistance to its customers in the design process within our core competencies and has executed basic design projects. The company has demonstrated significant abilities in design improvement of existing products and the ability to re-design for producibility and best value.
Presently Aero Electronics is preparing its Quality Management System to achieve ISO registration and AS9100 Certification.
Utilizing our existing resources Aero Electronics is leveraging core competencies to expand our cable build expertise into the area of Fiber Optics, Advanced RF Cables, Hi-Voltage Cables and Spacecraft level cable assemblies including full design capabilities within the entire Cable Assembly arena. This still however limits Aero Electronics to the lower levels of the supply chain and does not permit Aero Electronics to offer the maximum value potential to the customer base.
Out Look
The objective moving forward is to advance beyond the cable and harness commodity and limitations of a job shop/ build to print environment achieving a level of competence that allows participation at the Proposal, Design, Development and Production levels.
The road map to this objective requires growth in all functional areas, the addition of new functional areas and the addition of many other resources. To achieve this level of expertise Aero Electronics is pursuing partnerships with Universities, Suppliers and Businesses both large and small that offer the right combination of resources to compliment our road map. Since achieving expanded levels of capability will permit Aero Electronics to offer it's customers increased value and share in the cost, risk and work load to a greater extent it is a burning platform which permeates all levels of our organization. As such, Aero Electronics has clearly established its vision and the critical path to our objectives.
The product areas in which Aero Electronics prefers to focus are Airborne and Ground Communications & Avionics sub systems or systems. Specifically we would target RF subsystems, power distribution systems and analog/digital control systems. These areas of preference are not intended to exclude all
other areas but entry points common to products across our existing customer base and clearly allow us to expand our target customer base.
Having the critical path clearly identified Aero Electronics will initially acquire the ability to execute production builds in these areas gradually progressing to design and development. In executing our road map Aero Electronics transitions from a lower tier build to print supplier to a level where a significant partnership can be supported.
This allows Aero Electronics to form partnerships with Customers at the program and other levels. When advantageous to their business requirements, customers can partner with Aero Electronics bringing increased value, the inherent cost advantages and specific socio-economic classifications of small business to the program early in the life cycle.
Forming strategic, long term partnerships is our emphasis. Aero Electronics will leverage our skill sets with the partnerships formed and focus on providing customers an avenue to off load design and build tasks determined not economically or otherwise advantageous to their business strategy or technology focus.
The ability to design and build Air/Ground Communication Systems & Avionics benefits our entire customer base, allowing them to reduce their supplier base and the number of supplier tiers they must manage. A reduced supply chain directly cuts cost for the customer. The customer base also benefits by having the option to shift its focus toward design and manufacture of advanced technologies. Aero Electronics benefits by not being limited to the lower tiers of the supply chain and gains the ability to compete on a broader range of products in multiple markets such as Military, Commercial, Homeland Defense and Civil Air and Ground System & Sub Systems.
As competency in Airborne and Ground Communications & Avionics sub systems or systems are increased, Aero Electronics would possess the advanced skills to further develop capabilities and expand our partnerships for continued growth. The opportunity to leverage our skills in directions that best support the requirements of our customer base as business strategies change would be significantly advanced and indigenous to our organization. The expertise would also exist to cooperatively engage with other organizations, Colleges, Universities and small or large business partners to explore new applications and permutations of our skill sets or to combine those skill sets with partnering organizations. The nature and number or opportunities are now increased several orders of magnitude.
In conclusion, as Aero Electronics achieves these goals the benefits go beyond the advantages of reduced supplier base, economic gains and best value to our customer and the Government. The positive effects are felt across the entire industry and the overall marketplace benefits. As a company Aero Electronics better fulfills its responsibility to the community, creating jobs and driving economic growth. The opportunity to engage new and developing markets, develop commercial products, diversify into other technologies and many other possibilities also exist as Aero Electronics becomes established in the Airborne and Ground Communications & Avionics sub systems and systems marketplace. But the highest objective and ultimate purpose is in fact the benefit that directly flows throughout the supply chain, bringing the best value, highest reliability and superior performance to the Warfighter. This is our mission, this is the motivation that drives us each step of the process and reminds us each day that we must always remember the price of failure is too high, failure is not an option.
